Loh Eben Ong &
Partners - About Us |
 |
 |
Who We
Are?
Loh
Eben Ong & Partners was first
established in 1994 by Loh Lay
Leng (Ms) and Eben Ong Eng
Tuan as a general civil legal practice
in Singapore. The Practice initially focused
in Conveyancing and Property Law, Probate &
Family, and Commercial Law, but has since
expanded to other areas of practice, with an
emphasis in Business, Property, Corporate,
Family, Divorce, Finance, Probate, Intellectual
Property and IT legal related matters.
Our clientele comprises of individuals,
small and medium enterprises (SMEs),
financial institutions, public listed
companies, trusts and associations.
In our
LeoLaw's Client Care Policy,
we believe in relationship building with our
clients and potential clients, so that they
build an important rapport with our
solicitors. Quality, trust, faith,
integrity, communication, accessibility to our
solicitors, efficiency and speed are part of
our Policy, and all legal and related
matters entrusted to us are committed to
this standard. More complex matters may be
subject to a "strategizing exercise", so
that such matters can be resolved, settled,
concluded or completed (as the case may be)
expeditiously.
We are continuing building up our strengths
to serve our clients better. |

LAW.com.sg™
LAW.com.sg,
being an integral part of
Loh Eben Ong & Partners, aims to focus on eLegal &
Online Legal
Services, which effectively means that part of our legal and
professional services has been
provided online.
The LAW.com.sg Team
has conceptualized the offering of
innovative legal services online (for local and international
clientele), and has offered Online Legal Services since 1998. We
are arguably one of the first law firms globally (if not the
first) to offer Online Legal Services to our online public.
Our Online Services such as Deed Poll (Change of Name), Power of
Attorney and Wills have been highly successful with thousands of
people having used them.
It is
our aim that LAW.com.sg will continue to serve the needs of our savvy
clients and online public/users. Enhanced features have been
added regularly to LAW.com.sg from time to time. We update this site
daily, weekly or monthly, so our visitors can expect to see
different contents, services and layout from time to time.
We aim to be a premium international "Virtual Law Firm"
and continue to build up and capitalize on our strengths in the
internet.
However, as a law firm in Singapore, we have to abide by our legal
professional rules in our virtual ambition. Fortunately, these
professional rules are still evolving to take account of new
technologies and internet as
new mediums of marketing for law firms (within our professional
rules).
Our creative and innovative ideas of our web designers/strategists
have to be moderated as internet is still relatively new and our
professional rules governing legal websites and online legal
services (operated by law firms) are still not certain and
definitive.
As we do not wish to be seen as "touting" or conducting
"aggressive marketing", so from time to time, we have to conduct
"audit checks" of this website with our web designers/strategists.
Legal portals (not part of law firms) which similarly provide
legal or quasi-legal services are more fortunate as they are not
govern by any professional rules.
In recent years, many non-professional firms/companies/websites
are offering online Will drafting services, and unfortunately,
they are not subjected to the stringent Legal Profession rules.
Regulatory authorities may need to consider the roles of
non-legal practitioners offering legal or quasi-legal services,
and the need to protect the public.
